FRED MOUAWAD- BANGKOK

Fred co-founded G Partners in 1995 to pursue his passion for innovating, building, and assisting companies grow.
His natural affinity to building consumer and trade brands has led him to found Global Franchise Architects, Interbuild Solutions, Mondera.com, Instore magazine, and Itorama.
Fred has extensive operational experience at the helm of start-ups and more mature companies across several industries and countries. He has managed as an active Chairman or Chief Executive in countries as diverse as the USA, Saudi Arabia, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Thailand and India. He has been a catalyst in incubating several start-ups by crafting a strategy, pulling and deploying required resources, and guiding the company along the way. He has direct experience in several sectors such as technology, luxury brands, food & beverage, trade services, Hotels and real estate. Fred's experience allows him to combine strategic vision and operational know-how to support CEOs of his portfolio companies and guide them through the different phases of their growth cycle. He has experienced first hand start-ups, expansion, and turnarounds.
Prior to starting G Partners he was the Vice-President of the Mouawad Group (90-93) one of the most vertically integrated high-end jewelry companies in the world. He led the Asian and Middle-Eastern Operations of the Group, and was directly in charge of all retail, manufacturing, and administrative divisions employing 800 people.
Fred grew up in Geneva, Switzerland, and attended boarding school at College du Leman. In 1986 he went to Pepperdine University in Malibu, California, where he got a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and focused on business strategy, quantitative analysis, marketing, and was a teacher's assistant for the Business Policy & Strategy class. In 1990 he went to the Gemological Institute of America where he obtained a Graduate Gemologist degree, and completed several additional home study courses simultaneously. He later co-published several articles in the field of Gemology. He attended the first year of the MBA program at the Harvard Business School in 1993. The following year he wrote a case for the Technology Operations Management department. Fred has always been fascinated with the link between business theory and practice, and has since dedicated his time to building his businesses with the thought of continuously learning and improving.
